Instead of A.I., Hal uses H.I. (human intelligence), the most advanced intelligence to date, to understand your requests. A random Hal is assigned to you for every new request you submit on the app. They'll find thoughtful answers for you and can even give you advice and opinions. It's like a friend that you can text every time you have a question, no matter how personal or random, as long as it's legal, of course.
Your privacy is our top priority. So Hal will not know who you are, and you won’t know who Hal is. What you can know, is that each Hal is a human, with their life of knowledge and experience, who lives in the same city as you and it's assigned to you based on similar interests and taste. They get compensated for every thoughtful answer they share with you. For now, Hal is available in New York, Miami and Toronto.
Science-fiction has depicted A.I. as a superior intellience that would eventually take over humans. But in reality, A.I. is in its infancy. It gives us homogenized answers and can't understand human emotions and unique contexts.
